 Year 2 have learnt and performed the poem 'Harvest Moon'. 

 

DT - Moving Christmas Cards

The children in Year 2 explored different types of mechanisms, thinking about how the object moved and which part formed the mechanism. The children spent time making a lever, pop up and a slider. They then chose which one they wanted to include in their design. They had great fun making their christmas cards!

Year 2 had a great day learning about Ernest Shackleton and his expedition to the South Pole. The children got to fully immerse themselves in the event using props and music, each taking on the role of one of the crew.

 

Forest School - Week 2 17th Nov 2025

This week in forest school Year 2 enjoyed playing simple games. They then took on the role of being Shackleton. They enjoyed working as a team to travel across the ocean without leaving anyone behind.

To launch our Autumn poetry unit Year 2 went on an autumn woodland walk around the school grounds. The children enjoyed finding a variety of autumnal things such as conkers, acorns, mushrooms and all the vibrant leaves which have fallen.
