Tudor Cooking and Banquet

In design and technology this half term, Year 5 designed a Tudor menu and cooked/baked all dishes to enjoy at a Tudor banquet. We started our journey of learning by researching seasonal produce and the importance of using it. We also learned about the origin of our food, and identifying whether it was grown, reared, caught or processed. We then researched a typical Tudor menu at Hampton Court to inspire our own choices of dishes. We adapted the dishes to ensure they all used seasonal produce. We enjoyed trying all the food we had made and completed an evaluation for each dish.
